BEDFORD ON CALL ( BEDOC) is a Social Enterprise Non -Profit Making Organisation which is run by BEDOC Council (made up of BEDOC Members and interested parties). Below are listed the management team with their roles and responsibilities.
Kevin Parker is our CEO of BEDOC. Kevin has over 30 years strategic and operational experience within Primary, Secondary and Social Care, which has included managing two large out of hours GP services, and project managing complex service redesigns for numerous NHS organisations.
Helen role as Governance Manager includes ensuring that procedures and policies are up to date, audits and lessons learnt are acted uponthe care that BEDOC provides to its patients remains a high standard with the right regulations in place.
Lesley Quinn is the Lead Nurse and Health and Safety Lead for BEDOC. Lesley's role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including staff performance reviews, site safety assessments and maintaining contact with clinicians working within BEDOC.
Dr John Kedward is our Medical Director at BEDOC and a practising GP. His role includes extensive work in GP education and training, and he provides support and advice for the Clinical Team to ensure the highest standard of care for patients attending BEDOC Appointments.
Sandra Mabbott joined our team at BEDOC initially as Network Project Manager but has taken on a dual role as our Operations Manager. Sandra has brought with her years of experience within in Practice Management. Her role within BEDOC involves her overseeing all the Rota’s, shift fill, and conducting site visits associated with the Extended Access Service and Extended Hours Service.
Dr Dayo Kuku is Chair of BEDOC and a practising GP. She is also the Respiratory Clinical Lead for Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Dr Kuku oversees the Organisation and provide valuable support and guidance within her role to BEDOC.
Tracey Caton is our Finance Manager for BEDOC. Tracey was originally involved in the project managing of the Extended Access service, but now fully focuses on finance.
Sarah Morrish is our medicines management lead at BEDOC and a Clinical Pharmacist with many years experience. Sarah carries out a variety of audits to ensure that clinician medication performance remains safe and of a high quality.
Jackie plays an important role in liaising with our outsourced HR company and welcoming new staff to the organisation. As well as Kevin's Personal Assistant , Jackie is the Organisation's Company Secretary.
Tania works closely with the Lesley in visiting sites, supporting clinical staff and feeding back on clinical auditing that is carried out monthly.
Natalie works closely with the Operations Manager and Operations team, booking rotas, ensuring shifts are covered, that stock is ordered, reporting is completed and supporting Eileen with her Multidiscplinary team work in the Primary Care Networks.
Elieen is our Multi Disciplinary Coordinator, working closely with Natalie to arrange meetings, representatives are present to support the complex and vulnerable patients in the Primary Care Networks . She ensures there is cohesive communication across all our services.
Mary Jones works for BEDOC as our Medical Secretary, following years of experience in general practice. She works closely with the Operations Team to ensure that BEDOC provide a seamless service.
Sophie works closely with the Operations Team, visiting sites, supporting the Receptionists, ensuring that the sites have enough stock to provide care for the patients, and assisting Mary with the referrals for patient investigations.
Chantelle is our Social Prescriber that patients can request an appointment with from their surgery if they require help with debt, housing, redundancy or general wellbeing. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and her appointments are that little bit longer to give the patient the help they need.
