New Nurses, Receptionists, GP Registrars, Drivers & Bedoc Council Members.

New Doctors [excluding GP Registrars]

Any GP principal, non primcipal or salaried doctor who works in a practice in the old Bedford PCT area and is on the NHS Bedfordshire Medical Performer's List may register to join Bedoc. Applications from locums will not currently be considered as there are plenty of doctors working for Bedoc at present.

Application should first be made in writing on the attached application form to : Mrs Maria Laffan, Bedoc Chief Executive, Room 8 East Wing, Simon Whitbread House, Bedford Hospital, Kempston Road, Bedford MK42 9DJ

Please include copies of the following documents with your application:

  • 1 GMC registration certificate
  • 2 Medical Defence Society certificate
  • 3 Evidence of inclusion on Bedfordshire PCT GP Performers list
  • 4 Resuscitation training certificate
  • 5 Criminal Records Bureau check
  • 6 Hepatitis B and Measles immunity status
  • 7 Evidence of attendance at a local Child Protection training course in the last two years

     

    When your details have been verified you will be sent an email telling you that you have been accepted to join Bedoc.

    All new doctors will need to attend a two hour unpaid training session and will then be expected to work two shifts a month over the next three months to complete their orientation.
